Mid-early shelling bean producing uniform green pods around 30-32cm long and containing around 8-9 beans. Plant grows about 100-110cms tall so support may be necessary. Successional sowing in spring will give a consant crop from late spring to summer and it can be sown outdoors in winter as long as the ground is not too water logged and the temperature is above 5°C. - Growing Instructions:
Sow outside in rows - February to May and September to November
(when the air temperature is above 5°C) space seeds 25cm apart.
Sow 5-8cm deep
When the plants are in full flower and the first few pods are starting to form at the base of each plant if you pinch out the top this will encourage more pods to form. These tips can be delicious in a salad too!
