Blueberry collection

Well-loved fruits that are fast becoming a staple in the kitchen garden, blueberries are both delicious and nutritious. Extremely high in vitamin C and full of anti-oxidants, they have been used over centuries to treat a multitude of different ailments. Easy to grow in full sun or light shade as long as they have acidic soils and reliable moisture. They will also thrive in pots filled with ericaceous compost if garden conditions are not ideal.

In this collection you will receive one of each of the following varieties.

blueberry DukeLate spring flowers, that are rarely affected by frosts are followed by an early crop of light blue berries that have a firm flesh and a mildly sweet flavour. Each mature bush has a high yield of long-lasting fruits, making it one of the most productive cultivars.

blueberry BluecropThis time-honoured blueberry is considered by many to be one of the most reliable croppers. It produces high yields of large, mid-season fruits that are full of flavour. These appear on vigorous, upright plants, which have a good resistance to disease. Grows to 2m.

blueberry Aurora (PBR)Large, medium to dark blue fruits are produced in high quantities very late in the season on this vigorous blueberry. The fruits ripen over several weeks and should be picked when fully ripe, which is when they are at their sweetest - unless you like your blueberries slightly tart. Forming a slightly spreading shrub when mature, it can be grown in a large pot filled with ericaceous compost if space is limited.
